Rosemarinus officinalis or Rosemary, is a shrub that grows on dry, stony and calcareous soil. It is a mediterranean plant that is not known to grow very high, yet covers a large area. Its evergreen leaves are dark green above, and silvery hairy below. Its flowering begins in January and ends in May. Due to its richness in essential oil, it is a very aromatic plant, and popular condiment used for culinary purposes. [1]
