Viburnum iantana or Wayfaring tree, is part of the same family as Honeysuckle. It grows mainly in calcareous soils of moist woods or hedges and is a common species in European forests. Despite being referred to as the Wayfaring tree, it is actually a shrub that rarely exceeds three metres in height. The bark of the roots produce glue. Its branches are very flexible and hairy, with buds covered with two small deciduous scales. The leaves are greyish, alternate, and indented. [1]
