Erosion

An erosion is a secondary skin lesion that is a loss of epidermis not penetrating past the dermoepidermal junction. This lesion heals without evidence of scarring.[1]
Common condtions associated with erosions include:
- candidiasis
- herpes simplex
- tinea pedis
- dermatophyte infection
- intetrigo
- neurotic excoriations
- sun damaged skin.
