Olea europea or Olive, is a popular tree, indigenous to the Mediterranean. It likes to grow in very sunny, rocky, and dry land, and can live up to 3000 years. Its flowering is triggered by a cold winter, but it is also susceptible to frost. This tree is always green, with small oblong leaves that are dark green above and silvery green on the bottom, which eventually turn yellow and fall off. In Spring, the olives can be seen very discreetly about its small, white flowers.[1]
