Syrups are concentrated teas, sweetened and preserved with approximately fifty percent honey and/or thirty percent glycerine (an edible sweet, sticky substance that is a by-product of soap making). Most syrups are designed to ease sore throats, but any herbal remedy can be made into a syrup to improve its taste. Some syrups are made into Herbal Lozenges.
