An ulcer is a secondary skin lesion involving a loss of both epidermis and dermis, and heals with scarring.[1]

Common condtions associated with ulcers include:

  • stasis ulcers
  • neoplasms
  • radiodermatitis
  • apthous ulcers
  • syphilis.
