Amino Acids are critical to life. They play an essential role with respect to many functions within the body, especially as it relates to metabolism, protein formation and the structure of tissues. Amino acids are classified as essential and non-essential depending on the body's ability to synthezie the amino acid on its own. Amino Acids are linked by peptide bonds to form polypeptides which when joined together form larger molecules known as proteins.
