Some botanicals have an opposing of antagonistic action on drugs. For example, botanicals with a high affinity to scavenge free radicals might reduce the efficacy of other drugs.

In an antagonistic reaction you end up with the effect that 1 (drug) + 1 (herb) = 1 (effect) or 1 (drug) + 1 (herb) = 0 (no effect).
