Atrophy

Atrophy occurs when there is thinning of the epidermis and dermis, and is considered a secondary skin lesion.[1]

Common conditions associated involving atrophy include:

  • dermatomyositis
  • lichen sclerosus
  • necrobiosis lipodica
  • radiodermatitis.
