Chemoprevention refers to the use of specific strategies including drugs, antioxidants, botanical medicine, vitamins and minerals to reduce cancer incidence.[1]

Three Aims

  1. To arrest or reverse carcinogens prior to development of invasive cancer. [2]
  2. Prevent disease progression.
  3. Prevent second primary tumors from developing.
