A female hormone saliva test is used to identify menstrual cycle deficits and imbalances in progesterone, estrogen, testosterone and DHEA/DHEA-S.[1]

- Female hormone saliva testing is best if frequent samples are used. A single sample taken between day 20 and 22 of a cycle is less than 50% accurate. A test that uses about 11 samples over a menstrual cycle provides the best results.
