Yang Tonics refer the energetic properties of food. When yang is deficient or weak, a number of different foods can help tonify yang. These are:
- Herbs such as basil, cinnamon, cloves, dill seed, fennel seed, fenugreek seed, nutmeg, rosemary, sage, savoury, star anise, thyme, dried ginger
- Nuts such as chestnut, pistachio, walnut
- Vegetables such as garlic,
- Meat such as lamb, kidney
- Seafood such as lobster, shrimp
