The term toxin is a broad term that refers to exogenous and endogenous substances / energies that are destructive to health. Toxins can be small molecules, proteins or energetic patterns that are capable of contributing to disease, disrupting digestive and metabolic functions or disrupting the ability of the body to heal.
- Exogenous toxins refers to
- toxins that developed or originated externally or outside the body, such as environmental toxins, heavy metals or environmental chemicals.
- external pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites.
- external factors that the body reacts to such as bee stings, poision ivy or environmental allergens.
- external factors such as trauma, light, noise, pollution, stress, etc. that are greater than a person can process.

- internal substances or waste materials that are produced by metabolic processes or disease
